Abstract
This paper investigates the crack problems that emerged in the high sandy slate slope at the right dam abutment of Jiaohua Reservoir during excavation. It elaborates in detail on the crack development in the reservoir slope, the construction layout for treatment, and the specific construction techniques for rock bolts and prestressed anchor cables, encompassing key procedures such as drilling, grouting, and tensioning. Quality inspection results indicate that both the pullout resistance of rock bolts and the stress loss of anchor cables satisfy the design requirements. The study also summarizes critical construction points, including measures such as anchoring the fixed section into weakly unloaded stable rock mass and adjusting anchor cable angles, thereby providing technical references for treating similar cracks in high sandy slate slopes.

Abstract
This study investigates cracking issues that emerged during excavation of the high sandy slate slope at the right dam abutment of Jiaohua Reservoir. It details the evolution of slope cracks, the remediation construction layout, and specific techniques for rock bolt and prestressed anchor cable installation, encompassing key processes such as drilling, grouting, and tensioning. Quality inspection results confirm that both rock bolt pullout resistance and anchor cable stress loss satisfy design specifications. The research further summarizes critical construction considerations, including requirements for anchorage sections to be embedded within weakly unloaded stable rock mass and measures for anchor cable angle deflection, thereby providing valuable technical reference for analogous crack treatment projects in high sandy slate slopes.
